Zuerlein has been placed on the PUP list due to offseason back surgery, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

The 33-year-old kicker has a history of back problems, including Dec. 2017 surgery to repair a herniated disk. Even so, the Cowboys head into training camp without another kicker on the roster, giving us a strong hint that they expect Zuerlein to be ready for Week 1. For now, backup punter Hunter Niswander can work with the FG and kickoff units in practice while Zuerlein finishes up his rehab process.
