Cowboys' Princeton Fant: Injured at practice

Fant hurt his knee during practice Monday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The tight end took a hit, fell to the ground and needed some assistance to leave the field, per Patrik Walker of the Cowboys' official site. Fant's status will become more clear after an MRI, according to Watkins. The fourth-year pro is battling Luke Schoonmaker for the No. 3 tight-end role behind starter Jake Ferguson and backup Brevyn Spann-Ford.
