Johnson has been waived by the Patriots, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
In a corresponding move, the Patriots claimed fellow wideout Leonard Hankerson, with Johnson -- who carried just once for six yards during his brief stint with the Patriots -- now looking for a new depth wideout/return role.
