Ratley was waived by the Lions on Monday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
After missing significant time during the preseason with an unspecified injury, Ratley didn't do enough to survive final roster cuts as the Lions trim down to 53 players in advance of Tuesday's deadline.
