The Giants waived Willis on Tuesday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Willis led the Giants in receiving yards (112) and touchdows (2) this preseason. With Kenny Golladay (hamstring), Darius Slayton (ankle) and Kadarius Toney (undisclosed) all dealing with injuries, it was thought that maybe Willis would earn a spot on the initial 53-man roster. Nonetheless, he will likely land on the Giants' practice squad if he clears waivers.
