Thomas was released by Miami on Saturday, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
Thomas had a solid camp but in the end he offers very little upside as far as a running back is concerned and doesn't play special teams. The Dolphins chose to go with several backs who are younger, more versatile, and offer higher upside.
