The Bills released Williams on Monday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Williams' release frees up more than $6 million in cap space for Buffalo with just $3.6 in dead money, a situation which made the starting offensive lineman's departure fairly predictable. Now heading into his age-30 season, Williams won't have much difficulty drumming up interest on the open market. Meanwhile, the Bills could have difficulty replacing the versatility he offered the O-line.
