Pittsburgh signed Mims (calf) to its practice squad Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Mims was waived by Detroit prior to Week 1, but he has now found another opportunity with a different team. With Diontae Johnson (hamstring) still on injured reserve, the Steelers are thin at wide receiver behind George Pickens.
