Smith reverted to the practice squad Monday, per the NFL transactions wire.
Smith was promoted to the active roster for Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Texans. He was targeted once, though the pass was intercepted. With both Tavon Austin (quadriceps) and Terry Godwin (undisclosed) on injured reserve, Smith could in line for a similar role with the Jaguars throughout the season.
