The Giants waived/injured James (undisclosed) on Thursday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.
James will be placed on waivers, and if he remains unclaimed, will revert to the Giants' injured-reserve list. Once on IR, the cornerback will remain there for the entirety of the 2026 season unless he is waived with an injury settlement.
