Dolphins' Jacoby Brissett: Serviceable in spot start
Brissett completed 26 of 43 passes for 244 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in the Dolphins' 17-9 win over the Texans on Sunday. He also rushed once for seven yards and lost a fumble.
The veteran was called into action when Tua Tagovailoa was deemed a bit too risky a proposition to start the contest due to his finger fracture. Brissett performed reasonably well under the circumstances, although the pair of interceptions were a blemish. Brissett also encouragingly got Jaylen Waddle more involved downfield than in prior games, connecting with the talented rookie on eight occasions for 83 yards. The 28-year-old Brissett may be set for another start Thursday night against the Ravens if Tagovailoa is still considered too injured to helm the offense.
