Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver said Thursday that he was "hopeful" Ramsey (calf) would be able to play Week 1 against the Jaguars, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Ramsey's injury wasn't supposed to be considered serious, but he's been sidelined since Aug. 12 and has not yet practiced this week. Weaver also acknowledged the fact Miami hosts the Bills next Thursday as factoring into the equation, stating, "we have to be cognizant we have two games in five days." Ramsey's status for Jacksonville on Sunday may come down to the wire, and even if he does suit up, the veteran cornerback may see a limited snap count.
