Ramsey (hamstring) and the Dolphins agreed to terms Friday on a three-year, $72.3 million contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Ramsey regains his title as the NFL's highest-paid cornerback just days after Patrick Surtain had vaulted into the top spot. The veteran has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury since Aug. 12, and he could be in danger of missing Sunday's regular-season opener against the Jaguars, but Miami's decision to extend Ramsey at this time is a clear indication that the team isn't worried about his long-term availability. If Ramsey is able to practice in at least a limited capacity Friday, he could still manage to suit up Week 1.
