David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that Poyer was participating in drills Monday with a club/cast on his right hand.

Poyer will likely be held out of the Dolphins' final two preseason games while he recovers from his hand injury. The 2013 seventh-round pick signed a one-year contract with the Dolphins in March after spending the last seven seasons with the Bills. Poyer is slated to serve as Miami's starting strong safety and work alongside free safety Jevon Holland in the secondary.
