Brooks was signed by the Dolphins on Tuesday, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
Brooks had been on the Patriots' practice squad. If the North Texas product gets on the field Sunday, it will mark his NFL debut, which will likely come in a depth or special-teams role.
