Mostert (shin) played a season-low 19 snaps in a Week 16 win over the Cowboys, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
David Furones of the Sun Sentinel indicated that the coaching staff made the call to hold him out. "Raheem wanted to go in the game," coach Mike McDaniel said. "It was more that we could tell it was pretty painful at the time." Mostert briefly returned in the second half, but the Dolphins ultimately decided after two third-quarter snaps that his day was done. If the issue limits him further in a huge Week 17 clash with the Ravens that could determine the top seed in the AFC, De'Von Achane and Jeff Wilson would see bigger workloads.
