Tannehill completed 26 of 38 passes for 329 yards and an interception in Sunday's 18-12 loss to the Colts. He also gained 28 yards on one rush and was sacked six times on the afternoon.
The five-year pro managed his fifth 300-yard passing game of the season, but as was the case in the other four contests, his effort Sunday came in a Miami loss. Tannehill notably managed his best yards-per-attempt figure (8.66) in the last seven games, and did complete a nice deep heave down the left sideline to rookie DeVante Parker in the first half. He was also under significant duress in the pocket throughout the afternoon, making his solid 68.4 completion percentage all the more impressive. Tannehill threw an interception for the first time in four games, and his 12 picks on the season equal the career-low he established last season. Despite the fact that the 27-year-old needs only 142 yards passing in Week 17 versus the Patriots to reach the 4,000-yard mark for the second straight season, Tannehill and the entire Dolphins offense have undeniably underwhelmed throughout the course of the 2015 campaign.
