Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Labeled day-to-day
Coach Brian Flores described Tagovailoa (ribs) as "day-to-day" Monday, adding that the team is still running tests on the quarterback's rib injury, Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Flores also said that Tagovailoa still is in pain from the injury, which knocked him out of Sunday's 35-0 loss to the Bills. The day-to-day label suggests Tagovailoa likely isn't in danger of missing substantial time due to this injury, though his status for the Dolphins' Week 3 trip to Vegas remains up in the air. If Tagovailoa can't go this Sunday, Jacoby Brissett -- who failed to lead the offense to any points in more than three quarters of action against Buffalo -- would start under center, and Miami would have to make a roster move to bring in a backup option behind Brissett.
