The Jaguars waived Carey (hamstring) from injured reserve with a settlement Tuesday, Mike Kaye of FirstCoastNews.com reports.
The veteran safety played at least 13 games in each of the last five seasons, but he was relegated to special teams in 2017, making just nine tackles. Once he's healthy, he'll look to carve out a depth role on another roster.
