The Lions are releasing Peoples-Jones on Monday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
Peoples-Jones, who played in eight regular-season games for Detroit last season after being acquired via trade, couldn't show enough in his first offseason with the team to stick on the 53-man roster. The 2020 sixth-round pick now will need to search for an opportunity to latch on elsewhere in the league.
