Harris signed to the Bears' practice squad Tuesday.
The 33-year-old figures to be an insurance option at punt returner, with Ted Ginn not impressing through the first seven games of the season. Harris has only eight catches for 60 yards in 39 games since the 2015 season, so he's unlikely to have much of an offensive role if promoted to the active roster.
