The Eagles signed Steele off the practice squad to the active roster Friday.
Saquon Barkley (hamstring) is considered week-to-week and Tank Bigsby (abdomen) is on injured reserve, so the Eagles added depth to their backfield by signing Steele to the 53-man roster. Steele and Dameon Pierce will operate in rotational roles behind Will Shipley, who will operate as the Eagles' RB1 against the Jaguars on Sunday.
