White (ankle) didn't travel with the Eagles to Brazil and has been ruled out for Friday's season opener versus the Packers.
After a five-year run with Tampa Bay, the 2019 first-round pick joined the Eagles on a one-year contract in the offseason and was projected to serve as a starter at inside linebacker. His Philadelphia debut will have to wait at least one week, however, as White didn't make the trip to Brazil after he was limited in practice Tuesday due to the injury. Per Ashlyn Sullivan of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Nakobe Dean is the most likely candidate to start alongside Zack Baun at inside linebacker sans White.
