Minshew is expected to serve as the Eagles' backup quarterback Tuesday against Washington with Jalen Hurts (ankle) entering the Week 15 matchup without an injury designation, Chris Franklin of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Hurts turned in full practice sessions Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, clearing up any lingering concerns about the health of his sprained ankle, which prevented him from playing in the Eagles' Week 13 win over the Jets prior to a Week 14 bye. Minshew stepped in for a spot start in that contest and completed 20 of 25 attempts for 242 yards and two touchdowns in Philadelphia's 33-18 win, but head coach Nick Sirianni reiterated after that game that Hurts would retain the starting job when healthy.
