Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Gets it done as rusher
Hurts completed 12 of 23 passes for 190 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 17-11 loss to the 49ers. He also chipped in 10 rushes for 82 yards and a touchdown.
Hurts' final line through the air wasn't all that impressive and was nowhere near his output from Week 1. However, he did narrowly miss out on a much bigger day. It appeared that Hurts had connected with Jalen Reagor for a 36-yard touchdown during the team's third offensive possession, though the call was eventually overturned. He also connected with Quez Watkins for a 91-yard gain, but the drive ultimately stalled at the goal line. Even with those missed opportunities, Hurts provided a solid floor as a rusher, and he now has 142 yards on the ground through two games.
