Bradford indicated that he is not concerned about the likelihood that the Eagles will draft a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick in next week's NFL draft, philly.com reports. "I really don't pay attention to any of that stuff," Bradford said following Wednesday's trade that landed Philadelphia the selection. "If it happens, it's something I'll deal with when it happens. But if it doesn't happen, there's really no sense in wasting time or thought or energy on that."
What Bradford is focusing on is that after two straight offseasons rehabbing knee injuries, he'll be a full participant in spring workouts for the first time since 2013. "It's been a long time since I've had just a normal offseason," Bradford noted Wednesday as he embarks on the journey of learning new coach Doug Pederson's offensive scheme. "It's great. It's extra reps, especially learning a new system - being able to go out there today and be able to participate 100 percent, not being limited, to be able to get out there and go through the calls, make decisions. The more reps you get, the more comfortable you become." While it's viewed as inevitable that the Eagles will land either Carson Wentz or Jared Goff next Thursday, NFL.com relays that Eagles executive vice president Howie Roseman is currently committed to Bradford as the team's starting quarterback, with NFL Network's Ian Rapoport putting forth the idea that ideally, the team's franchise QB to be named later won't have to play for a year or two.
