Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Vintage performance in road victory
Barkley rushed 17 times for 147 yards and two touchdowns and brought in all four targets for nine yards in the Eagles' 15-12 win over the Saints on Sunday. He also recorded a two-point conversion rush.
Barkley's final line was a throwback to some of his best days with the Giants, and it was largely built on a breakaway 65-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter that served as the first trip to the end zone for either team on the day and showcased his signature breakaway speed. However, Barkley's second touchdown, while much less spectacular from four yards out, was critical, as it erased a 12-7 deficit with 1:01 remaining and was immediately followed by Barkley's two-pointer that gave Philadelphia a key three-point lead. The 27-year-old already has a pair of 100-yard, two-touchdown games over his first three contests in an Eagles uniform, affording him plenty of fantasy steam heading into a Week 4 road battle against the Buccaneers.
