Ertz (ribs/shoulder) is not practicing Friday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
While Ertz hasn't been ruled out for Monday against the Bears, comments made by head coach Doug Pederson earlier in the week suggested the tight end is unlikely to play. Pederson stressed that Ertz's injury comes with the possibility of long-term complications, which means the 25-year-old will need medical clearance in order to suit up, even though he was able to play through the pain in Sunday's win over the Browns. If Ertz is unavailable, Brent Celek will likely play the vast majority of offensive snaps, with Trey Burton potentially also taking on a larger role. The Eagles might use three-wide formations more often than usual to account for Ertz's absence.
