Dalton is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers, though he will be available as the team's emergency backup if necessary.
Dalton agreed to a deal with the Falcons in October. While the veteran signal-caller will be inactive for the Week 8 meeting against Tampa Bay, he will be eligible to play if Michael Penix and Tua Tagovailoa exit the game due to injury, illness or ejection.
