Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski said Wednesday that Strand hasn't been ruled out from being available for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
The Falcons' injury woes at quarterback could lead to Strand being active for a second straight week. Not only are Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) and Michael Penix (knee) dealing with injuries, but Cooper Rush -- who started the Week 1 loss to the Steelers -- is also getting treatment for his back. Tagovailoa didn't practice Wednesday, and while Rush and Penix were both full participants, it's unclear if the Falcons are prepared to have Penix make his 2026 debut just yet. Depending how the injury report shakes out Friday, Strand could be in the No. 2 role yet again for the Falcons as they host the Panthers.
