The Falcons elevated Herbert from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.
Herbert is set to suit up for his 2026 regular-season debut as the No. 2 running back behind Bijan Robinson for Sunday's game against the 49ers. The 28-year-old will take relief snaps in place of Brian Robinson (hamstring), who has been ruled out due to injury.
