Penix (ribs) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Bears, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Thus, the rib injury that Penix suffered late in the fourth quarter of last Sunday's overtime loss to the Ravens is behind him. Through his three appearances this season, he's completed 52 of 77 passes (67.5 percent) for 719 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
