Penix (undisclosed) went to the medical tent during Sunday's game against the Bears, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.
Penix was cleared to play in Week 6 after injuring his ribs near the end of a Week 5 overtime loss to the Ravens. The current health concern isn't known, but Tua Tagovailoa started warming up to replace Penix.
