The Falcons signed Hesse to a contract Thursday.

Hesse will get a chance to compete for a reserve gig in Atlanta's tight end corps, where Kyle Pitts and Hayden Hurst are entrenched as the clear top two options. He spent time on Tennessee's practice squad last season.
