Success in season-long Fantasy football is all about adaptability. If you haven't already changed your perception of Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold, now might be the time. The former No. 2 overall pick has bounced around the league, but he's found a level of comfort in Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell's offense that we haven't seen before. Through three weeks, Darnold is averaging 8.4 yards per pass attempt and has eight touchdowns, rising up the Week 4 Fantasy football QB rankings.

Quarterback play has been largely disappointing in Fantasy football 2024 and suddenly Darnold looks like the type of player worthy of consideration for your Week 4 Fantasy football lineups. With a reliable set of live-updated Week 4 Fantasy football rankings, you can adjust to all the latest Fantasy football injury news and ace any difficult start-sit decisions you might face. Before you lock in your Fantasy football lineups, be sure to check out the Week 4 Fantasy football rankings from the advanced computer model at SportsLine.

When it comes to ranking players, SportsLine's model beat human experts in Fantasy football for the past several seasons, especially when there were big differences in ranking. Over the course of a season, that could literally be the difference between winning your league or going home emptyhanded.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, including being ahead of the curve on players like A.J. Brown, Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, and Jahmyr Gibbs. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

Now, the model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has revealed its Fantasy football rankings for Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season. Head to SportsLine now to see them.

Top Week 4 Fantasy football picks

One surprise in Week 4: The model is fading Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams, who was started in 81% of CBS Sports PPR leagues last week after breaking out over the first two weeks of the season. Williams had 10 catches for 200 yards and a touchdown over the first two weeks and also rushed for 28 yards but he had a bust week against the Cardinals in Week 3.

Williams played a season-low 71% of snaps and he was only targeted three times, catching one pass for nine yards. He also had one carry where he lost seven yards and finished with two scrimmage yards on two touches. Now he'll match up with a Seahawks defense that has only allowed 397 passing yards over the first three weeks (best in the league) and the model ranks him outside its top 40 wide receivers for Week 4.

Another curveball: The model is high on Chiefs running back Carson Steele. With Isiah Pacheco suffering a lower-leg injury last week, Steele and Samaje Perine both saw an increased workload in Week 3, but Steele looked like the clear first option. He played in 62% of Kansas City's offensive snaps, while Perine played in 38% and had 18 touches to Perine's nine.

Most importantly, Steele was given a pair of carries inside the 5-yard-line and it's clear that he's the primary option in short-yardage situations. There could eventually be more competition for touches with Kareem Hunt elevated from the practice squad and Clyde Edwards-Helaire eligible to return off PUP next week, but Steele should dominate the early work for the Chiefs in the interim. For more start/sit Fantasy football advice, be sure to check out the rest of the Week 4 Fantasy football rankings.

How to set Week 4 Fantasy football rankings

The model is also calling for a surprising quarterback owned in less than half of CBS Sports PPR leagues to finish in the top 10 of its Week 4 Fantasy football rankings. This pick could be the difference between winning big and going home with nothing. See the model's entire Week 4 Fantasy football rankings for PPR and standard leagues here.
