Fantasy football managers probably noticed the lackluster passing numbers in Week 1, but a few quarterbacks still managed big games. Baker Mayfield threw for 289 yards and four touchdowns in a win over the Commanders and now he'll have one of the top Fantasy football matchups against the Lions in Week 2. Matthew Stafford threw for 317 yards against Detroit and Mayfield might be worth adding to your Week 2 Fantasy football lineups given what we saw in Week 1.

Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson threw for 273 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 122 yards in a loss to the Chiefs. Jackson is an automatic start against the Raiders, but having a reliable set of Week 2 Fantasy football rankings can help ensure you're getting the most out of your Fantasy football picks. Before you lock in your Fantasy football lineups, be sure to check out the Week 2 Fantasy football rankings from the advanced computer model at SportsLine.

When it comes to ranking players, SportsLine's model beat human experts in Fantasy football for the past several seasons, especially when there were big differences in ranking. Over the course of a season, that could literally be the difference between winning your league or going home emptyhanded.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, including being ahead of the curve on players like A.J. Brown, Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, and Jahmyr Gibbs. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

Now, the model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has revealed its Fantasy football rankings for Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season. Head to SportsLine now to see them.

Top Week 2 Fantasy football picks

One surprise in Week 2: The model is fading Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., even though the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft was a second-round pick on average. In fact, the model says Harrison doesn't even finish in the top 30 at his position and he's a player who you might want to be cautious with in Week 2.

After being touted as the clear No. 1 option in the Arizona passing attack all offseason, Harrison was only targeted three times on Sunday and caught one pass for four yards. Trey McBride (nine targets) and Greg Dortch (eight targets) were Kyler Murray's favorite options and even running back James Conner outpaced Harrison in targets 4-3. He'll match up against the Rams this week and it might be worth taking a wait-and-see approach going forward.

A curveball: The model is high on Packers receiver Jayden Reed, who produced 912 scrimmage yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie. Reed was a seventh-round pick on average in 2024 Fantasy football drafts and he's already delivering value for anybody who selected him. He caught four passes for 138 yards and a touchdown while adding a 33-yard rushing touchdown in Week 1 against the Eagles.

Now, he'll take on a Colts defense that gave up 417 yards and 29 points in a Week 1 loss against the Texans. Reed has scored a touchdown in seven of his last nine games and Matt LaFleur would be wise to scheme up as many touches as possible for Reed with Malik Willis filling in for Jordan Love at quarterback. Despite Love's absence, the model ranks Reed as a top-six Fantasy football wide receiver for Week 2. For more start/sit Fantasy football advice, be sure to check out the rest of the Week 2 Fantasy football rankings.
