The middle portion of the NFL season is often the toughest for Fantasy football managers and a rash of NFL injuries has impacted just about everybody's Fantasy football lineups to an extent. However, Fantasy football injuries can also create opportunity and there is the potential to work the Fantasy football waiver wire to your advantage in Week 7. Tyler Lockett has had four 1,000-yard seasons in his career but appeared to be taking a back seat in the Seattle offense to DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba over the first several weeks of the season.

However, he's had at least four receptions in five of six games this season, has reached at least 60 yards in his last three games and scored his first touchdown of the season on Sunday. Lockett is available in over 40% of CBS Sports Fantasy football leagues, but how much of your free agent budget should you be allocating to add the veteran if he's available and you need wide receiver help? Before making any Week 7 Fantasy football waiver claims, be sure to see what SportsLine Fantasy football expert R.J. White has to say.

White has dominated NFL betting picks for years, but he got his start in sports media as a Fantasy baseball and football analyst. He finished No. 1 among all experts for his draft rankings the first year FantasyPros tracked MLB expert accuracy on their site. White has continued to excel at season-long and dynasty Fantasy baseball and football formats.

Now, he's revealed his top waiver wire picks from among the widely available Fantasy football free agents entering Week 7. You can see his top Fantasy NFL waiver wire picks and full analysis over at SportsLine

Top Fantasy football waiver wire picks for Week 7

One player White is advising Fantasy players to target on the Week 7 waiver wire: Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs. Green Bay's wide receiving corps is one of the deepest in the NFL, with Doubs facing competition from Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks for touches on a weekly basis.

He also had to serve a one-game suspension in Week 5 for unexcused absences from practice on Thursday and Friday of that week. However, that didn't stop the Packers from working him back into the offense in a big way in Week 6. Doubs caught three passes for 49 yards and two touchdowns and White is advising you to spend up to 12% of your FAB to acquire him this week.

White is also strongly recommending Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. The Patriots waited until Week 6 to give the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft the reins and they didn't do the rookie many favors with a matchup against an aggressive Texans defense.

However, Maye showed some playmaking chops despite New England being thoroughly outclassed from a talent perspective. He turned the ball over three times, but still threw for 243 yards and three touchdowns while adding 38 yards as a runner. The Patriots are likely to be heavy underdogs going forward and Maye could have the opportunity to pile up plenty of garbage time yardage, which is why White is floating him as a potential streaming option at quarterback the next few weeks. See who else to target on the Fantasy football waiver wire at SportsLine
