Washington has designated Roberts (quadriceps) for return from IR.
The Football Team will have a 21-day window to evaluate Roberts at practice. The depth cornerback, who was limited to special teams in his two appearances this season, could be added to the active roster and retake the field as early as Sunday's road matchup against the Panthers.
