Thomas (hamstring) is working on a side field Wednesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
The activity represents a sign of progress for Thomas following three missed games and a Week 9 bye, but he still hasn't returned to practice and thus remains uncertain to play in Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. A report last week suggested Thomas would be designated to return from injured reserve soon, which will open his 21-day window to begin practicing and potentially rejoin the active roster. Ricky Seals-Jones has been filling in at tight end in an every-down role throughout Thomas' absence.
