Thomas underwent an MRI on his left knee Monday that came back better than the team had hoped, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Although Washington initially believed that Thomas tore his ACL and MCL in Sunday's win over the Raiders, his initial MRI revealed that he didn't suffer an ACL tear. The 30-year-old will undergo further testing to help determine his diagnosis and still appears likely to miss time, but his early test results are slightly encouraging.
