Heinicke completed 26 of 32 passes for 256 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions and added 15 yards on three rushes in Washington's 29-19 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Heinicke turned in a razor-sharp performance in a rematch against the team that had ousted him and his teammates from last season's postseason, connecting on a season-high 81.3 percent of his throws and staying free of turnovers altogether. The 28-year-old's interception-less performance was his first since Week 4, and he helped seal the upset victory with several key completions during a marathon 19-play touchdown drive that took up 10:26 of the fourth quarter.
