Burns (ankle) was estimated as a non-participant for the Giants' walkthrough practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Burns is not expected to need surgery to address the low-ankle sprain he suffered during Monday's loss against the Rams, but it is anticipated that he will miss some time. Until he's able to get back onto the field, Kayvon Thibodeaux figures to see an uptick in reps on the edge.
