Giants' Daniel Jones: Looks set for another absence
Jones (neck) is considered likely to miss the Giants' Week 14 game against the Chargers, Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.tv reports.
Jones missed Sunday's 20-9 loss against the Dolphins due to a neck injury serious enough that head coach Joe Judge refused to rule out the possibility of it being season-ending. Prior reports have labeled Jones as week-to-week, but he still managed to log three limited practices before being ruled out prior to Sunday's loss in Miami since he hadn't been cleared for contact. All things considered, though Jones hasn't been ruled out for Week 14 yet, he appears to be trending toward another absence. Meanwhile, top backup Mike Glennon suffered a concussion in his start against the Dolphins, making his own status uncertain for Week 14. As a result, Jake Fromm could get the chance to start in Los Angeles next weekend for what would be his NFL debut.
