Jones (neck) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Despite dealing with a strained neck, Jones dropped back and launched some deep shots during individual drills Thursday, according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger, marking his second straight capped session. Still, Jones has yet to be cleared for contact after visiting a specialist in Los Angeles earlier this week. He seems poised to log another absence Sunday at the Chargers, but it remains to be seen who will be under center for the Giants. No. 2 QB Mike Glennon, who got back on the field Thursday as a limited participant, is working his way through the concussion protocol and will start if he clears league protocols. If Glennon is unable to do so, Jake Fromm would be set to see his first NFL action.
