Singletary rushed eight times for 40 yards and a touchdown while catching his only target for four yards in Saturday's 26-3 preseason win over the Dolphins.

Singletary was the first running back into the game for the Giants, as neither the presumed regular-season starter Cam Skattebo or the recently signed Najee Harris saw any utilization. Singletary and Tyrone Tracy alternated work throughout the first half, and the former put forth the better performance. The highlight of Singletary's afternoon was a 13-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter, while Tracy fumbled in the red zone in the first quarter. After rushing for exactly 437 yards in each of his previous two seasons with the Giants, Singletary is looking to secure a role in a crowded backfield, and he helped his case with Saturday's strong outing.
