Engram (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
During the media-access portion of the practice, Engram was spotted working out on the side with trainers, according to Dan Duggan of The Athletic. Engram evidently increased his activity behind the scenes, and the Giants appear optimistic about his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Cowboys. The tight end will still likely need to upgrade to full participation in practice by Friday to avoid taking a designation into the Week 17 contest.
