Giants' Evan Engram: Out for Week 6

Engram (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Patriots.

Engram faced a quick turnaround from the MCL sprain he sustained in the Week 5 loss to the Vikings, so it's not too surprising that he'll be sidelined for his first game of the season. With three other key skill-position players -- Saquon Barkley (ankle), Sterling Shepard (concussion) and Wayne Gallman (concussion) -- also ruled out, the Giants won't have many established options for rookie quarterback Daniel Jones to rely on against a formidable New England defense. Rhett Ellison will act as Engram's primary replacement at tight end in Week 6.
