Fromm will back up Mike Glennon on Sunday at the Chargers after the latter cleared the concussion protocol Friday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

The potential existed for Fromm to earn his first NFL action with Glennon subject to an examination from an independent neurologist in order to play this weekend. Instead, Glennon will get a second spot start for Daniel Jones, who hasn't been cleared for contact as he deals with a strained neck. As a result, Fromm seemingly is one play away from seeing his initial regular-season snap as a pro after he logged time during the 2021 preseason with the Bills.
