Donnell said Wednesday that the next MRI on his neck will occur in a "couple of weeks," Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports.
Donnell is already in danger of missing the rest of the season, but at least his immediate playing status is clear, as he likely won't suit up in the interim. In the meantime, Will Tye will act as the Giants' starting tight end.
