Patrick will have his knee injury tested by medical staff over the coming days. Those results will determine when he can return to practice and his chances of playing in Saturday's preseason opener against the Vikings on Saturday, Aug. 15. Patrick entered training camp looking to solidify his spot as the Giants' backup center behind John Michael Schmitz.
